Welcome to the Ignatian Spirituality Project

men's group, Washington, D.C.

Join us to pray every Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at St. Aloysius Church, 19  "I" St. NW Washington, DC.  This is at the corner of North Capitol Street and "I" Streets.

WHO WE ARE
The Ignatian Spirituality Project (ISP) began in 1999 when Fr. Bill Creed, SJ was invited to begin making the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius available to the economically disadvantaged. The Exercises, a program with some 450 years of tradition, focus on seeking union with God and achieving inner freedom to reach that end.
In our experience, today’s homeless population, like many of us, struggles profoundly with this separation, and, as such, responds profoundly to God’s desire for deeper freedom.  Visit the national ISP website at the following link:

OUR RETREATANTS
To be successful, the retreats demand a certain type of candidate. We partner with many service providers throughout our National Network to find men and women who are already working toward ending their homelessness. These men and women, from our tested experience, seem best able to profit from the Exercises on retreat. Often they are:
- sober for four to eight weeks
- capable to share their story
- willing to companion others in
  their journey

OUR PROGRAMS
We sponsor Weekend Retreats, Days of Reflection, and Ongoing Reflection Programs. This work is not, and cannot be done in any gov-ernment sponsored facility. And yet, as our retreatants consistently tell us: the retreats change lives. Ultimately, we hope that our efforts end the injustice of homelessness.
